The North American Province established, built, or served in over 40 parishes, missions, and chaplaincies since the Missionaries of the Holy Family arrived in the United States in 1925. The next 30 years were dominated by missionary activity in Minnesota, Missouri, and Texas. New missions and churches were established in rural communities and in Texas there were requests to establish Hispanic missions and churches in urban areas. These were vibrant years of missionary spirit for the Province. In 1959, this missionary spirit reached into Mexico and began 40 years of service in remote areas of Mexico. In 1973, the Province began its presence in Canada. A Holy Family priest or brother was serving in the three nations of North America – which is the territory of the Province.
